Qualifications:

• Very deep understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Very deep understanding of at least one programming language
• Good understanding of react
• Good understanding of Linux and Linux tools
• Good understanding of software development best practices, able to write maintainable code
• 5+ years industry experience
• Outstanding communication skills
• Heavy focus on providing a great experience for the customer

Responsibilities:

• Write maintainable code
• Write most of the code for the front-end of our products
• Rotating on-call schedule - sometimes your code will break in production, it needs to be fixed quickly
• Participate in peer reviews
• Contribute to other internal projects
• Contribute to both internal and external documentation
• Review other developers' code
• Write tests for your own code
• Participate in user tests to get feedback on how users experience our product

Our stack is primarily python on the backend, javascript (react) on the frontend. We use docker and kubernetes for deployment. We do a two-week onboarding to get developers up to speed on all the technologies we use, so no experience in these other technologies is required.

Must be able to legally work in Canada in the eastern time zone.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
